Особенно отчетливо эффект инокуляции проявлялся на изменении площади корневой поверхности сорго, которая увеличивалась на 86% в загрязненном (0,1 г/кг) грунте. При этом вес сухих корней у бактеризованных растений увеличился незначительно по сравнению с небактеризованными.
