В настоящее время для характеристики ризобий широко используются различные методы анализа ДНК. Преимущество этих методов состоит в том, что они позволяют получать стабильные характеристики, независящие от физиологического статуса микроорганизма, более тесно связанные с генотипом и позволяющие анализировать любые участки ризобиального генома.
