Адекватное обеспечение населения микронутриентами является важной составной частью политики здорового питания. Анализ фактического питания населения Российской Федерации и стран СНГ свидетельствует о широком распространении во многих регионах недостаточной обеспеченности (или даже дефицита) ряда важнейших микронутриентов, в том числе эссенциальных микроэлементов.
