Объектом нашего исследования были гусеницы различных возрастов и самки мельничной огневки Ephestia kuehniella Zell. (Phycitidae, Lepidoptera). Этот вид является одним из самых распространенных и экономически значимых насекомых — вредителей зерна и зернопродуктов.
