В 2002 г. Европейское региональное бюро ВОЗ разработало и внедрило региональный стратегический план предупреждения кори, который ставил своей целью элиминацию кори и предупреждение врожденной краснушной инфекции (ВКИ) в Европейском регионе к 2010 г.
