Данный полиморфизм гена АПФ влияет также на риск развития сосудистых осложнений у больных ИНСД — риск развития ангиопатий нижних конечностей достоверно выше у больных, гомозиготных по делеционному аллелю (DD), чем у больных с генотипами ID и II.
