Для многих ГАФД, выделенных из различных источников, была определена полная первичная структура с помощью традиционного анализа аминокислотной последовательности. Такой анализ был проведен для ГАФД из скелетных мышц свиньи (152), мышц человека (268), омара (86), пекарских дрожжей (182), Bacillus stecirothermophihis (212), Thermus aquaticus (153).
