Было высказано предположение о том, что динамичные микротрубочки, постоянно собираясь и разбираясь, как бы сканируют внутриклеточное пространство своими плюс-концами в поисках транспортируемых органелл (так называемая модель «поиска и захвата» (КлгзсЬпег, МксЫэоп, 1986)).
