Селекция начинается с генерации большой библиотеки НК с фиксированными 5'- и 3Л-концами и вырожденным районом длиной 30−60 нуклеотидов (рис.1). Такая библиотека содержит 1014—1015 вариантов молекул, которые сворачиваются в сложные трехмерные структуры.
