Нами впервые был продемонстрирован выход фрагментов мтДНК из органеллы, сохраняющей свои функциональные параметры как в модельных системах, так и в условиях in vivo. Вполне возможно, что при функционировании митохондрий в условиях нормы единичные поврежденные молекулы мтДНК также удаляются при участии РТР.
