The warm subtropical Black Sea coast of Russia is the site for a number of fashionable sea resorts, like Sochi, known for its beaches and magnificent nature. So, it is a prejudice about the weather in Russia because the real temperature depends on the current location of a city, a village or whatever else. One more prejudice concerns that a Russian man is liable to drink a lot which is not completely true. As for traditions again, it is a well-established custom to drink a little at a party but within certain limits. Here is also a Russian joke that we drink just to smell appropriate because we already have enough folly and thirst for fun in our hands.
To sum it up, we can shortly review the mentioned above cultural patterns of Russian culture that a foreigner should be aware of in order to adjust and communicate more easily and avoid intercultural conflicts and misunderstandings. In this work one can find the most important features of Russian culture concerning values, beliefs, communication difficulties, concept of time, etc. It is important to understand that even if two or more cultures are completely different, the communication among them can be especially profitable for every side. However, every sort of prejudice and intolerance is no good.
