Артериальная гипертензия является фактором риска развития и прогрессирования многих сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний и их осложнений. Повышение артериального давления (АД) приводит к нарушению функциональной активности эндотелия и развитию эндотелиальной дисфункции, сопровождающейся уменьшением эндотелийзависимой вазодилатации, что способствует еще большему увеличению АД.
