Долгое время стентирование было противопоказанием к лечению прогностически неблагоприятных стенозов (бифуркационных, осложненных, с признаками пристеночного тромбоза, с явлениями кальциноза, расположенных в труднодоступных сегментах коронарных артерий), стенозов, расположенных в артериях диаметром менее 3 мм.
