В данной работе описана новая сайт-специфическая эндонуклеаза SegC, относящаяся к GIY-YIG-семейству хоминг-эндонуклеаз. Фермент способен гидролизовать какмодифицированную ДНК, так и природную ДНК Т-четных фагов, содержащую гликозилированные остатки гидроксиметилцитозина.
