Химия аллильных производных бора существенно богаче и разнообразнее химии алкили арилборанов, что обусловлено спецификой их строения. Наличие двойной связи в р-положении по отношению к атому бора обуславливает специфику химического поведения этого класса веществ, в частности, их способность присоединяться к органическим соединениям с кратными связями (С=0, С=Б, С=Ы, ОС, С=С, и др.).
