The Nishegorodskaia fair has been transferred to 1816 from Makareva on Volga to Nizhny Novgorod. For placing of 60 stone exhibition cases the extensive territory on the left coast of Oka has been taken away at its confluence of Volga. Well — known engineer A.A.Betankur was the main builder of fair with its difficult architectural and engineering constructions.
