По данным регистра инсульта в России ежегодно переносят инсульт более 450 тысяч человек, т. е. каждые 1,5 минуты у кого-то из россиян впервые развивается данное заболевание, при этом до 200 тысяч случаев заканчиваются летальным исходом, а из выживших пациентов до 80% остаются инвалидами разной степени тяжести.
