Перспективным направлением в этой области является дискретно-событийное моделирование бизнес-процессов, учитывающее актуальные на сегодняшний день аспекты: достаточный уровень, формализма, учет, временных факторов, синхронизации процессов, адекватность моделей для, анализа и оптимизации и пр.
