Moreover, schoolchildren can gain the external knowledge of language when studying abroad. According to my personal experience I can judge in favour for studies in English-speaking countries because alongside with the increasing of the language level pupils enrich and widen the horizon of their world perception in a whole. Therefore, a great attention should be paid to the language studies at school.

T he next step of English studies is University, either a language or non-(specialized) language one. A lot depends on the student himself, tough the university, of course, should provide the chance to learn the foreign language within the studies at the university or institute. T

he chance, provided by the educational establishment is to be based on the curriculum. T hus it is very important to make English studies available and accessible for all the students. A ll the scheduled lessons should be free of charge. B

ut extra (additional) lessons are to be paid. D uring their studies at the higher school students learn the professional/business English to become experts in their future profession. T he requirements are rather high: Level B-2 according to the European (Bologna) system. T

he methods of acquiring language knowledge are different; among them — interactive ones: business games, roundtable talks, quizzes, group discussions and others. S tudents' exchange, their participation in the international conferences, are very fruitful as well. B esides, students can take part in the research work and become the post-graduates of the higher school. T he requirements to the post-graduate course of studies include the exam on the English language. A

nd the exam itself consists of the three very essential tasks: 1. read a paragraph from the unknown professional text; 2. render the extract from the original scientific work; 3. write an essay on the article. B esides, a candidate has to make up a glossary of the terms (200 words), translate ten pages from the original literature on the subject and be able to encourage a talk about his/her research work, explain the reasons and the consequences of the scientific investigations. On top of everything, the applicant should publish several articles and theses in the leading journals and magazines.

Learning English at the language courses is also available and welcomed all over the country. Additional knowledge outside the school or university curriculum is helpful in receiving extra awareness about different types of international exams which give the opportunity to enter some universities abroad (TOEFL, FCE, DEC, etc.). The most valuable opportunity that you shouldn’t resist while attending language courses is the strategy of essay writing. You see, essay writing is the most vexed issue of all international exams. Thus, you should be well prepared before taking such an exam. During language course studies you are taught to value time of writing, develop the main thesis of the essay and learn a very helpful strategy of brainstorming.

M oreover, if you possess some substantial sum of money, you may choose individual classes. T here are pros and cons concerning individual lessons of English.

O n the one hand, the teacher is concentrated only on you and tries to do his best to throw you into the language atmosphere due to the individual program. O n the other hand, you may feel isolated and miss your partners. T astes differ, In my opinion, it’s better to study language in groups in order to have some opportunity not only to learn the English language efficiently, but also to have some opportunity to relax in a good company of language-addicted people. Furthermore, the best way to learn English without leaving your country is to attend classes of a native speaker.

To sum it up, I should say that global world demands global language. Hence, English as the universal language rules the roost in all spheres of life: world economy/business, politics, culture, personal interrelations.
